With the new California State law, do not put yourself at risk of having your registration revoked, car impounded, and penalty fees up $1500.00 for driving without auto insurance. Additionally, insurance companies are required to provide the DMV, proof of insurance within 30 days of a vehicle's initial registration; or within 45 days in the event of a policy cancellation or change in coverage. This new law is now being heavily enforced, so don't take any chances - make sure you have an active auto insurance policy!
